“Water, Air and Forest” – these are, as locals say, items representing the land Pădureni.
Here, Cerna and Dobra rivers are meandering through the womb of Poiana Rusca Mountains and the fresh air is feeling constantly the breathe of the rich forests. The vegetation is represented mostly by towering forests where nature is preserved almost unaltered. In any season, the surroundings are an indescribable beauty. The natural treasure, with buildings scattered throughout the land, inspires any viewer.
On the Padureni land, ground region between Cerna Valley and Mures Valley, from Hunedoara county, villages scattered around, they kept the stories woven centuries ago, but just as fascinating are the real facts about what happened … A rural road made from marble, found in a deserted village, reached a place of worship to swallow water, two furnaces, which testify to the steel and mining bases available here, humongous trees and other natural and cultural treasures. Rural settlements, born before the Roman occupation, are housing the Pădureni people which today they boast their costumes, folk music, their customs and traditions. This area is one of the most endowed in Romania.
Among the many well known settlements of the Padureni are Toplita town formed around the village with the same name attested in the eighteenth century. The land also marks the following villages: Ghelari Commune, Old Village / Batrana Village, Bunila Village, Caprioara Village and Lelese Village. We can all together, attentive and willing to conquer the view of the traveler, hear and feel the whole story of this land. Enjoy yourselves, with us, exploring the Poiana Rusca Mountains paths, live the adventure and movement, find out the traditions of the place, create yourselves memories and immortalize them through photography!
